UPPER COLORADO REGION, WESTERN COLORADO AREA OFFICE (WCAO), RESOURCES MANAGEMENT DIVISION, SOUTHERN LAND AND RECREATION MANAGEMENT GROUP IN DURANGO, COLORADO. For living conditions click HEREMajor Duties - Coordinates, develops, and/or reviews land, resource, and recreation-related management agreements.- Works with interdisciplinary and interagency teams to ensure compliance with Reclamation policy and applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.- Prepares and monitors budget, progress, timeliness, and technical accomplishments of the teams and contractors.- Implements fund agreements for land, resource, and recreation-related management agreements.- Serves as a Grants Officer Technical Representative (GOTR) and provides technical expertise to develop and administer resource and recreation-related financial cost-sharing contracts, agreements, and programs with federal and non-federal agencies.- Administrative activities include preparation and management of budget, coordinating cost estimates and project proposals, monitoring agreements, verification of expenditures, and processing billing requests.- Coordinates with managing partners and contractors to conduct monitoring activities.- Reviews development and management proposals from recreation managers and contractors.- Provides technical direction, guidance, insight, and recommendations on resource management policy, land use, right-of-use, public recreation, public health and safety, accessibility, environmental regulatory compliance, and related matters.- Prepares briefing papers, decision documents,and concept papers for review, consideration, and comment by solicitors, Area Office, and Regional Office Managers on various project issues.Physical Demands:
Fieldwork (approximately 20%) requires walking, climbing, bending and driving, at times in remote locations, while reviewing projects or directing resource management activities. Office work is sedentary. Additional vacancies may be filled from this vacancy announcement SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Specialized experience must demonstrate the applicant has been equipped with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is directly related to the work to be performed.GS-11:
You must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or LL.M., if related -OR- 1 year specialized experience (described below) equivalent to at least GS-9 in the Federal service.Specialized Experience for the GS-11:
You must have specialized experience in 3 of the following areas:
Experience inspecting the condition of recreation facilities; Experience evaluating recreation sites (state parks); Experience ensuring maintenance of developed recreation facilities by recreation managing entity/partner; Experience in planning and coordinating projects with multidisciplinary teams/entities; Experience overseeing cost share grant(s); Experience coordinating projects with multiple diverse stakeholders. NOTE:
Education and experience may be combined for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable. If you do not meet the qualification requirements listed above, you will be determined not qualified for this position.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
