Community centered healthcare group seeks a PA/Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner/FNP to work as a hospitalist in a quaint town in Southern Colorado-Durango/Bayfield area! 45 minutes from Durango, CO. up to $115,000/year - part time or full time
This is a new part time or full time position for the group that allows them to utilize a PAor FNP in a critical care/hospitalist role versus an MD/Physician. The hospital offers a small inpatient unit capable of handling most patients presented to the hospital. The new PA or FNP will get to be a part of a small dedicated staff which allows them to offer unparalleled customer service.
About:
o 8a-6p, no call. Part time or full time. Flexible shift scheduling. Providers share and work out the schedule.
o Average census is 5 beds with a max of 9 beds. Hospitalist is able to go to the clinic in the afternoon and see same day appointment patients.
o FNP or PA will treat all ages but 95% are 13 and up.
o There is no Intensive Care Unit, only medical, telemetry and surgical services for most patients requiring a short hospital stay.
o PA/Physician Assistant or APRN (Advanced Practice RN)/ MSN / ARNP/ FNP-BC, Family Nurse Practitioner will work alone at times but always have an MD available to them. ER/Emergency Room MD will always be on site for support if needed.
o Ideal candidate is Colorado licensed with recent and strong inpatient experience to include time in telemetry/PCU/TCU and medical surgical.
Requirement:
o Must have 2 years of strong inpatient or critical care experience/background (new grads must have at least 3 years strong inpatient RN experience)
Pay Package:
o $90-115,000/year ($45-55/hr)
o Full time = Great PTO Package consists of 4 weeks' vacation plus 1 week CME's/$4,000 and Holidays.
