Position Description
Primary Purpose:
oAssist in the design, installation, maintenance and repair of Production automation and electrical equipment.
oPerform troubleshooting of PLC programs.
oPerform maintenance, repair, and calibration of devices, including transmitters, valve actuators, control valves and metering equipment.
Position Requirements
Education:
oHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
oAssociates degree or technical degree is preferred or experience can be used in lieu of education.
Experience / Specific Knowledge:
o3-5 years working in the automation profession programming various PLC platforms.
oAn understanding of radio communications.
oExcellent oral and written communications skills.
oAbility to read, develop and troubleshoot PLC programs.
oStrong analytical and problem solving ability.
oProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access).
oPC literacy, including OS, networking and hardware
oWorking knowledge of SCADA systems and their functions.
oExcellent working knowledge of electronic end devices and controls along with the ability to repair them.
oSkilled in reading electrical schematics, identifying components and understanding their function.
oAble to read P&ID (Process and Instrumentation Diagram) and PFD (Process Flow Diagram)
oAble to focus attention on details and willingness to follow operating procedures.
oMotivated and be a part of an aggressive teamwork-oriented environment.
oAble to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
oAble to work in extreme weather conditions.
oExpected to perform the required duties with minimal supervision.
oMust possess and maintain a valid driver's license, and driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
oMust accept supervision/direction and work effectively and cooperatively with other people.
oWilling to carry a company provided cell phone.
oAvailability to travel throughout Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and other locations as required in performing job duties.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
